Car Customizing
Any vehicle can be customized whether it’s a brand new vehicle or your old ride that has seen better days. Customizing a vehicle is an expensive process but is also very rewarding, whether you’re doing it as a hobby or as a full time job. Car customizing is defined by two different meanings; the first way people customize their vehicles is by altering or replacing the engine and transmission. The second way is by restyling the exterior and making the vehicle unique. The idea of car customizing came about during the pre World War two era. During this time people would modify their vehicles by removing the fenders or replacing them with a lighter version. With the advancement of vehicle manufacturing the ways to customize your vehicle increased. Vehicles were starting to be seen with different grilles, bumpers, chrome side strips, tail lights, fins were added and vehicles were lowered. During the 60’s paint options increased, customized vehicles were now seen with metallic undercoats and candy-apple paint. Flame jobs were now seen being spread across to the hood and front end.
In the 50’s the tradition of displaying your custom vehicle at drive-in restaurants became popular. It’s still a trend that takes place nowadays, especially in southern California. Today we see younger kids altering their vehicles with NOS kits, turbo kits, supercharging them or upgrading the exhaust. Any and everything is capable of being upgraded. Doors are another big thing that we see changing on vehicles today, some of the post popular to add are lambo doors, vertical doors or suicide doors. Customizing your vehicle is an expensive hobby to take on because you don’t want to go the cheap route. If you choose to customize your vehicle you’ll need to figure out your budget and then make yourself a step by step plan customizing one item at a time.
